What is the problem with Cialis?

Cialis is used by millions of American men to treat impotence and erectile dysfunction. It recently been linked to patients developing Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). Symptoms usually begin affecting men approximately 36 hours after ingesting the drug. NAION is a condition in with vision loss occurs due to damage to the optic nerve from a lack of blood supply. Nearly 8,000 people are affected by NAION yearly. Patients usually notice poor vision in one eye after awakening. Individuals suffering from NAION describe a haze or dark shadow obscuring either the upper or lower half of the vision in one eye. After being affected by NAION, there is no effective treatment to reverse the damage. Most men do not suffer from total vision loss. Usually only a moderate amount of vision loss is incurred.
