Glenna suffered a serious Brain injury as a result of a fall and has made an amazing recovery and credits Craig Hospital for playing a big role in the recovery process. Mike and Glenna have gifted Santa Fe’s St. Vincent’s Hospital with Glenna’s piece “Crossing the Prairie” and “the Ballerinas” to Craig Hospital-a piece she finished after her injury and which was auctioned off at the PUSH Dinner where the award was presented…St. Vincent’s recently dedicated a new Neurosurgical Suite in Glenna’s name.

(Dallas, TX) — C.L. Mike Schmidt, Michael E. Schmidt and James Holmes have been selected by their attorney peers as Texas Super Lawyers for the third year in a row. C.L. Mike Schmidt and Michael E. Schmidt were recognized for their work in personal injury/products liability cases, while James Holmes was honored in business litigation.

The Texas Super Lawyers list is featured in the October issue of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazine, published by Law & Politics Media. To create the list, more than 70,000 Texas attorneys were asked to select the best lawyers in the state, and fewer than 5 percent were named to the list. In addition to being listed as Texas Super Lawyer, C.L. Mike Schmidt was named one of the Top 100 attorneys in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and one of the Top 100 attorneys in all of Texas for the second consecutive year. As one of the rare attorneys to hold three separate board certifications, Schmidt regularly is included on “Best Lawyer” lists published by D Magazine, the Dallas Business Journal, and The Best Lawyers in America. Michael E. Schmidt recently was named by D Magazine as one of the “Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas” list.

Mr. Schmidt’s practice focuses on representing victims in mass tort and medical negligence litigation, as well as other types of litigation involving construction, trucking, aviation, wrongful death and defective products. In selecting its list of the top young Metroplex lawyers, the magazine surveyed more than 5,000 attorneys citywide.

Attorneys were allowed to nominate one colleague from their own firm and two colleagues from other firms. Approximately 100 attorneys were selected to the list, which appears in the May 2004 issue of D Magazine.

“No one practices law to win awards, “ says Mr. Schmidt, “But this recognition came from nominations made by other attorneys. To receive an honor that shows I have earned their respect is truly rewarding.”

Certified as a Personal Injury Trial Law Specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Schmidt is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He also serves on the board of directors for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association.
