Hyperdrol, Superdrol, Slim Xtreme Products Contain Illegal Drugs
November 29, 2011 — The manufacturers of Hyperdrol, Superdrol, and Slim Xtreme have pleaded guilty to selling products containing the non-FDA approved steroid methasterone, the illegal steroid androsenedine, and designer stimulants. The products were sold as “dietary supplements” in a manner that was intended to deceive customers and the FDA.
On November 9, 2011, the drug manufacturers were convicted of felonies in federal court for the introduction and delivery of unapproved drugs in interstate commerce with intent to defraud and mislead.
The steroids were sold under the following names: Anabolic Resources Superdrol, Anabolic Xtreme Hyperdrol, and Anabolic Xtreme Slim Xtreme.
The drugs were sold by Anabolic Resources, Inc. and Nutrition Distribution, Inc. Both companies were both doing business under the name “Anabolic Xtreme.”
Anabolic Resources pleaded guilty to knowingly manufacturing and distributing Superdrol between April 2005 and January 2006, labeling it as a “dietary supplement” when in fact the active ingredient was a synthetic steroid known as methasterone. Anabolic Resources was convicted of a felony and was fined $500,000 — the maximum fine allowed under the statute.
Nutrition Distribution pleaded guilty to knowingly manufacturing and distributing Hyperdrol and Slim Xtreme between February 2007 and August 2009. They labeled the drugs as “dietary supplements” when in fact Hyperdrol contained the scheduled anabolic steroid androstenedione. Slim Xtreme contained a synthetic designer stimulant. Nutrition Distribution was convicted of a felony and fined $100,000.
