Walmart Recalls Ozark Trail Camping Stoves
In November 2025, Walmart announced an urgent Safety Recall for about 201,000 Ozark Trail Camping Stoves that can explode or catch on fire, which resulted in at least 16 injuries, including 2nd-degree burn injuries.
How To Identify Camping Stoves Recalled at Walmart
The recall involves the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove (Model BG2247A1). This model number can be found on a gray label that is located inside the fuel compartment. The stoves are dark green in color, with a bright orange logo for “Ozark Trail” on the front.
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled Ozark Trail Camping Stoves were sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide, and online at Walmart.com, between March 2023 and October 2025.
What is the Problem?
Walmart is urging customers to immediately stop using Ozark Trail Camping Stoves with model number BG2247A1 because they can explode or catch on fire, which poses a risk of severe burn injuries.
How Many People Were Burned?
There were 26 reports of explosions or fires, including 16 reports of people who suffered injuries, including 2nd-degree burn injuries, according to the manufacturer, China Window Industry Co. of Taiwan.
Can I Get a Refund?
