Topamax Class Action Lawsuit Information
Janssen Pharmaceuticals has been ordered to pay multi-million dollar awards in several Topamax lawsuits. In one case, a jury in Philadelphia awarded $11 million in compensation and punitive damages on behalf of Brayden Gurley, a child who was born with cleft palate after his mother took Topamax during pregnancy. Janssen appealed the award, but in May 2014, a judge overturned the appeal and denied Janssen a new trial.
