April 20, 2015 — A longtime volunteer coach at Highland Park high school has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting current and former students, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Jaime Jimenez, 46, has been a volunteer football coach at Highland Park High School in the northeast area of Los Angeles since 1998.
Investigators are concerned that there could be more victims because Jimenez has been with the school for more than 15 years. Police believe he may have assaulted current and former students who are now adults.
He was arrested on Thursday for suspicion of sexual assault. Bail has been set at $450,000.
According to a police department statement quoted by the KTLA 5:
“[Investigators believe he] may have victimized former students who are now adults and are urging them to come forward.”
