Lomi Waxing Kits Recalled After Reports of Overheating Cords and Burns

In June 2026, Southern Telecom expanded a recall for Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kits due to fire and burn hazards.

The company said it expanded the recall to include another model and about 14,700 more kits after receiving 2 more reports of the power cord overheating.

Combined with the original June 2024 recall, more than 34,000 Lomi waxing kits have now been recalled because the roll-on warmer’s power cord can overheat and short circuit. The CPSC warns that the defect poses a risk of serious injury or death from fire, burns, and electric shock.

What is the Problem?

The problem is that the wax warmer’s power cord can overheat and short-circuit while the device is in use, according to the CPSC.

An overheating or short-circuiting power cord poses a risk of fire, burns, and electric shock to the person using the warmer, which is held by hand and close to the skin during waxing.

The CPSC describes the hazard this way:

“The roll-on warmers’ power cord can overheat and short circuit, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire, burn and electrical shock hazards.”

How Many People Were Burned?

Across the two recall actions, there have been 4 reports of the power cord overheating or short-circuiting. The original 2024 recall accounted for 2 of those reports, including 2 consumers who suffered burns and 1 report of property damage.

The 2026 recall expansion added 2 more reports of the cord overheating, but no additional burn injuries were reported.

The reported incidents have included:

  • Power cords overheating during use
  • Power cords short-circuiting
  • Burn injuries to 2 consumers
  • At least 1 report of property damage

How To Identify Recalled Lomi Waxing Kits

The recall covers the Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit with Wax Cartridge & Wax Strips. Each boxed kit includes a handheld wax warmer, a wax cartridge, wax strips, a power cord, and a user’s manual.

The Lomi logo appears on the front of the white and pink warmer and on the packaging. The model number is printed on a label on the bottom of the warmer.

You can identify a recalled kit by these details:

  • Model LOMB2003PK, covered by the original June 2024 recall
  • Model LOMB2004PK, added in the June 2026 expansion (UPC 680079034191)
  • Sold at Ross, DD’s Discounts, Variety Wholesalers, and Burlington stores nationwide (the 2024 recall also included Bealls)
  • The LOMB2004PK model sold from February 2025 through December 2025; the LOMB2003PK model sold from April 2023 through October 2023
  • Priced at about $13

What Should I Do?

The CPSC says consumers should stop using the recalled waxing kits immediately and contact Southern Telecom for a full refund.

To get a refund, you must unplug the warmer, cut the power cord in half, upload a photo of the destroyed product showing the cut cord, and then dispose of it.
