November 18, 2013 — At least 13 states have reported liver injuries from OxyElite Pro, including Ohio, California, and Hawaii. The total number of illnesses has risen to 56, including one woman who died. On November 10, the FDA ordered USPLabs to recall OxyElite Pro. Health experts warn consumers to stop using OxyElite Pro immediately.
Health officials in San Diego have reported that a 45 year-old woman was hospitalized with acute liver failure while taking OxyElite Pro for weight-loss. Fortunately, she is now recovering.
Another case of liver damage was reported in Cleveland, Ohio. A 33 year-old woman who had been taking OxyElite Pro for several months developed vomiting and jaundice (yellowing of the eyes, skin, mucous membranes).
