In June 2014, JAMA Internal Medicine published a study linking the use of Viagra (sildenafil) to an 84% increased risk of melanoma, an aggressive and dangerous form of skin cancer. Researchers warned that Viagra use increases the invasiveness of melanoma cells, which raise s the possible adverse effect on melanoma risk.
