September 25, 2017 — Fireworks Over America has issued a recall for about 13,050 “Serious Spinout” fireworks because it can tip over and fire shells at bystanders.
The recall involves Serious Spinout multi-effect fireworks. They were sold wholesale and at fireworks retail stores, tents, and stands nationwide between October 2016 and July 2017 for about $10.
According to a warning from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC):
“The lit firework can tip over and fire shells at bystanders, posing burn, fire and impact hazards to consumers.”
The recalled fireworks can be identified by product code FOA 2773 printed on the back panel in the lower right-hand corner. The fireworks consist of 8 tubes that are bundled together into a “cake” that measures 6″ tall by 4″ wide. The word “Serious Spinout” and an image of two yellow cars are printed on the front of the fireworks.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fireworks and contact Fireworks Over America for a full refund.
