January 4, 2019 — Inspired Organics has recalled almond butter, tahini butter, and sunflower butter due to a possible risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
Four days after Inspired Organics recalled sunflower butter after it tested positive for Listeria by health officials in Michigan, the company recalled a tahini butter and almond butter after additional products tested positive for Listeria.
On December 20, Inspired Organics issued an expanded recall for organic nut and seed butters:

Oskri Corporation of Lake Mills, Wisconsin is the manufacturer of Inspired Organics nut and seed butters. The manufacturer has issued additional recalls for other products due to a risk of Listeria.
The products were distributed exclusively by Lipari Foods. LLC in Warren, Michigan, to food service and retail stores throughout Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada.
Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause severe food poisoning. The symptoms can include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
