June 22, 2016 — Yet another major frozen food producer has recalled products due to possible contamination with Listeria.
National Frozen Food Corp. issued a voluntary recall after a random sample of a finished product tested positive for Listeria.
The products were distributed nationwide between September 2, 2015 and June 2, 2016. No illnesses have been reported yet.
The recall includes the following products:
- Bountiful Harvest Green Peas

Customers who bought these products can return them to the store for a full refund. The FDA says cooking the products according to the instructions on the label should reduce the risk of infection.

The recall including frozen strawberries, carrots, onions, and peaches that were sold under 42 brand-names in all 50 states and Canada.
Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause severe and sometimes fatal food poisoning. The symptoms are sometimes gastrointestinal, but more often involve headache, stiff neck, confusion, fever, and muscle aches. Infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
