The recalled cheeses were advertised as “Handmade Irish Artisan Cheeses.” The recall involves Wicklow Gold Cheddar Nettle & Chive (5.2-oz.) and Wicklow Gold Cheddar Tomato & Herb (5.2-oz.) cheese.
Did Anyone Get Sick?
No illnesses were linked to the recalled batches of Wicklow Gold Cheddar Cheese, according to the recall notice on January 3, 2025.
Instead, Abbey Specialty Foods recalled the cheese after being notified of potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria by their supplier, Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese LTD.
