June 14, 2019 — WinCo Foods, LLC has announced a recall for Frozen Red Raspberries manufactured by Rader Farms in Bellingham, Washington, after a bag tested positive for Norovirus.
What is the Problem?
No illnesses have been linked to the recalled raspberries. WinCo Foods was informed by the FDA that a sample of the product was tested by the FDA and found to be contaminated with Norovirus.
Where Were the Recalled Raspberries Sold?
The recalled frozen raspberries were distributed to WinCo Foods grocery stores in Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Utah.
What Product Was Recalled?
The recall involves “Winco Foods Frozen Red Raspberries” in a 12-oz bag with UPC 0 70552 30501 4 and a “Best By” date code of Feb/13/2021 with Lot #4045902.
What is Norovirus?
Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that causes sudden bouts of watery diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and fever. In most cases, symptoms end within 48 hours.
