Pancreatic cancer often does not cause symptoms until the disease has already spread to other tissues (metastasized) to the lymph nodes or other organs. The first signs may be pain when the tumor grows so large that it presses on nearby organs or nerves. It may also cause jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes) after blocking the bile duct.
