Combi Boilers Recalled Due to Burn Hazard

In August 2025, about 1,100 CX Combi Boilers were recalled due to a risk of serious burn injuries or scalds from hot water. According to the recall:

“The hot water can exceed the temperature set on the control panel, posing a burn hazard to users.”

What Happened?

No injuries were linked to the recalled CX Combi Boilers, but there were 5 reports of the hot water temperature fluctuating during use. The problem poses safety hazards including, burn injuries and scalds.

How To Identify Recalled Combi Boilers

CX Combi Boilers are rectangular metal boxes with a control panel on the front and a red IBC label in the top-left corner. They were sold from May 2023 to June 2025 by home improvement distributors.

The recall only includes CX Combi Boilers with models CX-199 and CX-150, and certain serial numbers.

CX Combi Boilers were recalled by IBC Technologies USA Inc., a company based in Lawnside, New Jersey. The company is urging customers to contact IBC to schedule a free in-home repair by an authorized technician who will install a mixing valve, if needed.
