Dollar General Recalls Sling Loungers
On August 4, 2021, Dollar General recalled about 155,000 True Living® sling lounge chairs because they can collapse and cause severe injuries.
What is the Problem?
The recalled lounge chairs can collapse unexpectedly, posing a risk of finger amputations, lacerations, pinched fingers, and other serious injuries if a person’s hand gets caught in the metal folding joints.
How Many People Were Injured?
Dollar General reported that 3 consumers suffered finger amputations, lacerations to their fingers when the chairs collapsed without warning.
Where Were The Recalled Chairs Sold?
The recall involves True Living® Sling Loungers with white frames and blue or green fabric. They were sold exclusively at Dollar General stores from January 2019 through September 2019 for about $20. The 12-digit UPC number 430001047344 is located on the receipt.
