Dovety Steam Cleaners Subject of CPSC Warning After 48 Burn Injuries Reported
In May 2026, the CPSC warned consumers to immediately stop using Dovety Steam Cleaners, Model TMSC-001, due to a serious burn hazard.
The warning was issued on May 7, 2026. According to the CPSC, the Chinese seller, Shenzhen Kaisennic Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., has not agreed to a recall of these steam cleaners. The CPSC issued the stop-use warning unilaterally because the company refused to act. The CPSC product safety warning number is 26-474.
Where Were They Sold?
The steam cleaners were sold online at Amazon.com and TikTok Shop, and manufactured in China.
What is the Problem?
According to the CPSC, the recalled steam cleaners can leak or suddenly eject hot water or steam, posing a risk of serious burn injuries to consumers.
The CPSC describes the hazard in its official warning as follows:
“CPSC is warning consumers to stop using Dovety Steam Cleaners immediately because the steam cleaners can leak or suddenly eject hot water or steam, posing a risk of serious burn injuries to consumers.”
How Many People Were Burned?
The CPSC is aware of 52 reports of hot water spitting, spewing, spraying, spilling out, leaking or otherwise exiting the steamers, resulting in at least 48 reported burn injuries.

How To Identify the Dovety Steam Cleaner
The CPSC warning covers the Dovety Steam Cleaner, Model TMSC-001. Consumers can identify the product by the following:
- Handheld, pressurized steam cleaner with a compact plastic body
- Integrated water tank
- Trigger-style steam release on the handle
- Screw-type cap on top where the user fills the tank
- Comes with 12 accessories including round plastic brushes, a bent spray nozzle, a squeegee attachment, and an extension hose
- Model number “TMSC-001” printed on a label on the bottom of the unit
- Brand name “Dovety” printed on the side of the product
- Sold online at Amazon.com and TikTok Shop
What Should I Do?
The CPSC urges consumers to stop using the steam cleaners immediately and dispose of them. Because the Chinese seller refused to recall the product, no manufacturer-led refund or repair program is being offered. The CPSC also warns consumers not to sell or give away these hazardous steam cleaners.
