ER Doctor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Patients
Dr. Tyler James Hurst, a 33-year old ER doctor, has been charged with felony counts of sexually assaulting and raping female patients who were seeking care at Community Medical Center Emergency Room in Missoula, Montana.
At least 15 women have come forward to report that Dr. Hurst sexually assaulted them between 2017 and 2023.
What Happened?
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office publicly announced that criminal charges were filed against Dr. Hurst in May 2024. He is 4 counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent and 3 counts of sexual assault.
Community Medical Center Terminates Dr. Hurst’s Medical Privileges
In response to the charges, Community Medical Center released the following statement:
“Community Medical Center was previously notified of a patient allegation regarding Dr. Tyler Hurst, an independent physician practicing in the emergency department at Community Medical Center. We removed Dr. Hurst from the facility and launched an independent investigation, ultimately terminating his medical staff membership and clinical privileges.”
