UPDATE: Fieldsheer Heated Socks Recalled for Burn Injury Hazards

In August 2025, about 45,000 pairs of Fieldsheer Heated Socks were recalled because they can overheat during high-intensity activities and cause burn injuries, blisters, pain or discomfort, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

What is the Problem?

Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies explained that the heated socks to overheat, which poses an injury hazard. According to the recall:

“The socks can cause pain and discomfort resulting in burns and blisters when worn during high-intensity activities that generate a combination of heat, excessive friction, moisture and pressure, posing an injury hazard.”

How Many People Were Burned?

Fieldsheer said there were 11 reports of heated socks causing pain and discomfort, resulting in 4 burns and blisters.

How To Identify Recalled Heated Socks

The recall involves heated socks manufactured by Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies, including models: MWMS07, MWWS07 and MWMS05.

The recalled socks were made of merino wool material. They were sold in a variety of color-combinations and sizes. The socks have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack and a remote-control to adjust the temperature. The “Fieldsheer” logo is on the front of the sock.

Where Were They Sold?

Fieldsheer Heated Socks were sold nationwide and online from August 2021 through June 2025 at stores like Scheels All Sports, Fred Meyer, Home Depot, Meijer, Bomgaars Supply, Buchheits, Running Supply, Fleet Farm Wholesale Supply, Amazon.com, and others.
