Gourmia Air Fryer Ovens Recalled After 40 Burn Injuries Reported

In November 2026, Gourmia announced a recall for about 175,951 Gourmia® Air Fryer Ovens after dozens of people were burned on their hands or wrists when the spring-loaded French doors unexpectedly snapped shut. The interior of the glass doors gets extremely hot when the oven is on, which poses a significant burn hazard to people who are trying to remove hot food from the oven.

The recalled air fryer ovens were sold at Target stores and online between October 2021 and June 2026. You can look for the model number GTF7530 on the back of the recalled units.

What Is the Problem?

The recalled ovens have two spring-loaded glass French doors with metal handles. If a door snaps shut when a person is trying to retrieve hot food, they can suffer serious burn injuries.

According to the CPSC warning:

“The oven’s doors can unexpectedly close when bumped, posing a burn hazard to consumers retrieving hot food.”

How Many People Were Burned?

Gourmia said it received 57 reports of the air fryer oven doors closing unexpectedly when consumers were retrieving food. That includes 40 incidents of burn injuries to a person’s hands or wrists. The recall does not explain how severe the burns were, or if anyone needed medical care.
