Jetson Scooters Recalled for Injury Hazard
In June 2023, Jetson Electric Bikes recalled about 15,300 Jetson Nova and Star 3-Wheel Kick Scooters for children because the wheels can fall off.
What is the Problem?
Jetson recalled the scooters because the wheels can loosen or fall off the scooter, which poses an injury hazard to children. Jetson said it has “determined that one of the front wheels on the Jetson Nova and Star can detach due to the loosening of a bolt that secures the wheel.”
1 Child Fell and Suffered Face Injuries
Jetson reported 12 complaints of the wheels loosening or falling off the scooters, including 1 report of a child who was injured when they fell off the scooter and suffered scratches and bruises to their face.
What Scooters Were Recalled?
The recall includes the scooter models and serial numbers listed below. The 16- or 17-character serial number is printed on a white sticker on the underside of the scooter deck. It begins with a “61.”

- Model Blue Star (JSTAR-CAN-BLU): Serial Numbers 61363BLU072221121 – 61363BLU072213468
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled scooters were sold from September 2022 through February 2023 at Target stores nationwide and online at target.com and www.ridejetson.com.
The Jetson Star was sold at Costco warehouses and on Costco.ca between October 2022 and February 2023.
What Should I Do?
