In September 2023, Lectric eBikes recalled about 45,000 electric bicycles after riders were injured when the brakes failed without warning.

What Happened?

Lectric received 4 reports from riders who experienced sudden brake failures on their e-bikes. Two people suffered injuries, such as cuts, scrapes, and a broke bone, after crashing due to the brake failures.

What is the Problem?
