What is the Problem?
Working in an office shouldn’t pose safety hazards, but defective office chairs are actually a common source of workplace injuries. Many people develop serious back problems from spending too much time in chairs that are not ergonomic — but there is another hidden hazard.
Defective office chairs (whether at home or in an actual office) can break or tip over when unsuspecting workers sit in them. This can occur due to shoddy manufacturing, poorly-designed chairs that break easily or are extremely unstable, and cheap components that wear out very quickly.
The danger is not limited to the traditional office. Many people have furnished their homes with office chairs so they can work from home. These chairs can also pose serious dangers — and if you fall or suffer injuries when a recalled chair breaks, you may be able to file a lawsuit.
Lawsuits for Office Chair Injuries
If you were injured on the job by a dangerous office chair, it is important to contact a lawyer to make sure your claim for compensation is handled correctly from the start. You could be eligible to file a lawsuit against the office chair manufacturer.
