Taleco Gear Baby Jumpers Recalled After 32 Injuries Reported
In August 2026, Taleco Gear recalled approximately 41,100 baby jumpers, baby swings and 2-in-1 jumper-and-swing products due to a risk of serious injuries, falls, and strangulation hazards.
What Baby Swings Were Recalled?
The recalled involves the Baby Jumper (jumper-01), the Baby Swing (swing-1), and two versions of the 2-in-1 Jumper & Swing (also listed under model jumper-01). The jumpers/swings were sold in colors like black, white, gray, pink, blue and green.
What is the Problem?
Taleco Gear announced the voluntary recall on its own website. The company warned parents and caregivers to immediately stop using the product, even if it “appears to be fine.”
The CPSC also warned parents about the hazard in the recall notice:
“The baby jumper, baby swing and 2-in-1 baby jumper & swing can become unstable, posing fall and impact hazards. Additionally, the hanging restraint straps and seat openings can pose strangulation hazards.”
How Many Children Were Hurt?
Taleco Gear said it received “at least 52 reports of fall, impact and strangulation hazards.” There were 32 reports of babies who suffered injuries, including head bumps and a bloody nose. No serious injuries or deaths were reported, but a serious head injury or strangulation in the straps or other parts of the swing pose life-threatening safety risks to babies.
How To Identify Recalled Products
You can find the model number on the fabric wash-and-care label on the seat cover. The following information can be used to identify this product:
- Baby Jumper (model jumper-01)
- Baby Swing (model swing-1)
- 2-in-1 Jumper & Swing-A (model jumper-01)
- 2-in-1 Jumper & Swing-B (model jumper-01)
- Colors: black, white, gray, pink, blue and green
- Sold at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and TalecoGear.com from April 2021 through July 2026, for $65 to $120
What Should I Do?
Stop using the prodict immediately and contact Taleco Gear for information on how to receive a full refund. You will be instructed on how to destroy the product and send a photo through the Taleco Gear recall site.
