Tylö Sauna Benches Recalled Again After 6 Injuries Reported
The CPSC announced on September 17, 2026, that Sauna360 is expanding its recall of Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid saunas. The agency states the saunas contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers, and that the previous recall repair was ineffective.
What Is the Problem?
Sauna360 announced the original recall in October 2025 after 7 reports of benches breaking, including 1 report of person who suffered head and neck injuries. The company sent technicians to fix about 1,000 saunas with new hardware.
According to the expanded recall, that repair was not adequate to fix the issue. Since the original repair program, Sauna360 said it received 77 more reports of the benches breaking, with 6 injuries reported.
Sauna360 explained in the updated recall:
“The saunas contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers. The previous recall repair was ineffective; a new repair is now being offered.”
How Many People Were Injured?
At least 7 people were injured when benches collapsed on the recalled saunas, including one person who suffered head and neck injuries and another person who suffered a sprained ankle reported by another consumer.
How Do I Check If My Sauna Was Recalled?
The expanded recall covers about 6,000 units, a significant increase from about 1,000 units that were recalled in 2025. The affected models include the Tylö Halmstad 2, 3, and 4 and the Tylö Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3.
These saunas were sold from July 2024 through July 2026 by various distributors nationwide, with costs randing from $6,000 to $12,000. The saunas are manufactured by SFactor in China and imported by Sauna360, Inc.

- TRAD, Tylö Halmstad™ 3, W/BLISS, 240V, CB23-1, V1
- TRAD, Tylö Halmstad™ 4, W/BLISS, 240V, CB23-1, V1
- IS, Tylö Kiruna Hybrid™ 2, W/BLISS, 15A, 120V, LOW EMR, CB20-1, V1
- IS, Tylö Kiruna Hybrid™ 2, W/BLISS, 20A, 120V, LOW EMR, CB20-1, V1
- IS, Tylö Kiruna Hybrid™ 3, W/BLISS, 240V, LOW EMR, CB22-1, V1
The serial numbers are located beneath the upper bench on the left side of Halmstad models, above the electrical contactor box, and on the right wall beneath the upper bench on Kiruna Hybrid models.
The full serial number ranges for each model are listed on the official CPSC notice.
What Should I Do?
Sauna360 said it will send a professional installer to retrofit benches with additional hardware and supports under the new remedy. Consumers can request the repair through the company’s recall page.
