August 12, 2020 — Thule has recalled over 4,000 Sleek strollers in the U.S. because the handlebar can detach.
Thule recalled the strollers after 1 report of a handlebar detaching. No injuries were reported, but the defect poses an injury risk to children.
The recalled strollers were sold at Buy Buy Baby, REI, other stores nationwide, and online at Thule.com and Amazon.com, from July 2018 to June 2020 for $830-$850.
The recall only includes strollers that were made from May 2018 to September 2019 that do not have a QC2020 sticker next to the product label. For specific product information, visit the official recall notice.
Thule is asking consumers to stop using the strollers and contact the company to arrange for a return and free replacement stroller frame.
