Venom Motorsports Recalls ATVs for Risk of Injury & Death
In September 2021, Venom Motorsports recalled about 500 youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) due to a crash hazard and a violation of federal safety requirements.
What is the Problem?
The recalled ATVs were advertised for children, but they lack mandatory safety features, like a maximum speed limit. The lack of speed restrictions poses a risk of severe injury or death to children, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
What ATVs Were Recalled?
The recall includes Venom Motorsports’s electric and gas ATVs for kids. The ATVs were sold online at VenomMotorsportsUSA.com from August 2020 through January 2021 for between $800 and $1,700.
The following ATVs are affected by the recall:
- Venom E-Madix: Model No. 1300w 48V E-A050 Electric
- Venom E-Grizzly: Model No. 1500w 48V E-A07 Electric
- Venom Mini Madix: Model No. 110cc HX110D Gas
- Venom Grizzly: Model No. 125cc ATV HX125B Gas
- Venom Racing Madix: Model No. 125cc MADIX125 Gas
