VEVOR Garment Steamers Recalled for Burn Hazard
In December 2025, Sanven Technology Ltd., a company in California that sells products online under the name VEVOR, announced a recall for about 2,840 VEVOR Garment Steamers after people were burned when hot water leaked or spilled.
What is the Problem?
VEVOR Garment Steamers (model number FCL-H09 or ES-H10) were recalled because it can spit, spill, or leak hot water during use, which may result in burn injuries. Another problem is that the cap can break off or detach during use, or leak, which is another burn hazard.
Users and bystanders may suffer burn injuries, according to the recall:
“The steamers can leak or spit hot water, posing a risk of serious burn injury to users and bystanders. The water tank cap can also leak or detach during use, exposing users to hot water.”
How To Identify Recalled Products
The recall involves VEVOR Garment Steamers with Model FCL-H09 or ES-H10 that were sold online at Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, and Vevor.com between December 2023 and September 2025.
The steamers have a white body with the words “VEVOR” and “TOUGH TOOLS, HALF PRICE” printed in orange lettering on the side of the product beneath the water reservoir window.
How Many People Were Burned?
There were 6 reports of hot water spitting, pouring out, leaking or dripping from the steamers.
There were also 12 reports of issues with the water tank cap detaching, leaking, not staying closed, fitting loosely, or melting. The reported cap issues resulted in two burn injuries, including:
- One person who received a permanent scar and a 2nd-degree burn from the hot water after the steamer’s cap suddenly detached
- One person received a minor burn on their hand and fingers from leaked water.
- One person reported a minor steam burn through the provided glove.
Can I Get a Refund?
Yes. VEVOR is urging customers to visit the recall website to upload photos of your steamer and register for a full refund. For more information, visit https://www.vevor.com/pages/vevor-steamer-recall.
