About the SNOOZ Breez Fan Recall
On April 9, 2026, Snooz, Inc. recalled approximately 11,900 Breez 2-in-1 Smart Bedroom Fan and White Noise Machines due to a fire hazard. According to the recall:
“The power connector inside the fan can corrode and cause the fan to overheat, posing a risk of fire.”
An additional approximately 140 units were sold in Canada and are subject to a concurrent recall there.
What is the Problem?
According to the CPSC recall notice, the power connector inside the recalled fans can corrode and cause the fan to overheat, posing a risk of fire. The firm reported six cases of the fans overheating and smoking, including one report of fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
The recalled Breez fans are white with a beige stand and feature a temperature-sensing Auto-Fan Mode and smart features accessible via a companion app.
They have a removable barrel power jack and a serial number on the underside of the wooden base. **Only fans with serial numbers beginning with BZ10 or BZ02 are included in this recall. Breez 2nd Generation sound machines are not affected.**
Which Products Are Recalled?
The recall covers the Breez 2-in-1 Smart Bedroom Fan and White Noise Machine with serial numbers beginning with BZ10 or BZ02, as printed on the underside of the fan’s wooden base.
The recalled fans were sold online at Amazon, Shopify, Kickstarter, and other small retailers from June 2023 through December 2025 for approximately $200. Snooz, Inc. is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fans were manufactured in China.
What Should You Do If You Have a Recalled Fan?
The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled fans. To receive a free replacement fan, consumers should:
- Locate the serial number on the underside of the fan’s wooden base
- Confirm that the serial number begins with BZ10 or BZ02
- Visit getsnooz.com/recalls to register for the recall
- Cut the power cord of the recalled unit
- Upload a photo of the cut power cord and a photo of the adapter showing the model
number and all printed information
