X-Stand Recalls 3,400 Treestands After 2 Hunters Fall
In November 2020, the Minnesota-based outdoors company X-Stand Treestands recalled 3,400 climbing treestands after 5 reports of the cable assemblies breaking due to corrosion. Two hunters also fell and suffered broken bones.
What Treestands Were Recalled?
The recall involves two models of climbing treestands — Silent Adrenaline (Model XSCT334) and Apache (Model XSCT355).
The recalled treestands are labeled with a batch number on the metal plate that is riveted to the stand. The recall only involves batch numbers ending in “17,” including 5X-1017, X-1517, and 5X-5317.
Where Were They Sold?
Silent Adrenaline treestands were sold at Sportsman’s Guide stores. Apache treestands were sold at other sporting goods stores
Both of the recalled treestands were sold nationwide and online at www.sportsmansguide.com and www.x-stand.com between May 2017 and December 2018 for $200 to $230.
