April 11, 2023 — Delta Enterprise has recalled over 43,000 kids’ swings that were sold at Walmart because the restraint straps can break and children can fall out.
There were 7 repots of the swing seat restraint straps breaking. No injuries were reported, but children who fall out of the swing could suffer serious head injuries, broken bones, other injuries, or death.
This recall involves 2-in-1 Outdoor Kids Swing with model numbers SW86508MM, SW86516MN, SW86575MM, SW86576MN and SW86577PW.
The plastic swings have a bucket seat with a 3-point safety harness. They are advertised for children weighing up to 50 pounds. The back has a a silhouette of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse or PAW Patrol.
The recalled swings were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at www.walmart.com and www.deltachildren.com from March 2022 through October 2022 for between $20 and $33.
Delta Enterprise Corp. is asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled swings and visit the website at https://www.deltachildren.com/pages/kids-swing-recall for further instructions on how to receive a refund.
