October 1, 2024 — A pressure cooker lawsuit has been filed against ALDI by a woman who claims that she and her partner were both burned when the lid exploded off the pot.
The lawsuit was filed by Jahsheia G., a woman from Louisiana who claims that she and her partner were seriously burned by an Ambiano 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker that she purchased from ALDI.
On February 21, 2023, she suffered serious burn injuries as a result of the “pressure cooker’s lid suddenly and unexpectedly exploding off the pressure cooker’s pot,” according to her lawsuit.
When the lid suddenly exploded open, there was a rapid release of pressure that ejected the scalding-hot contents out of the pot.
The plaintiff and her partner were both hit by the scalding-hot contents of the pressure cooker when the lid opened unexpectedly.
She claims to have suffered from significant and painful bodily injuries, medical expenses, wage loss, physical pain, and diminished enjoyment of life as a result of her pressure cooker burn injuries.
The Pressure Cooker Lawsuit was filed against ALDI, Inc., on February 14, 2024 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana — Case 3:24-cv-00212-TAD-KDM.
