Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Best Buy
In January 2024, a class action lawsuit was filed against Best Buy for people who bought recalled Insignia Pressure Cookers.
The class action lawsuit was filed by a man from Georgia who claims that the pressure cookers are “defective, dangerous, inoperable, and worthless” because they have incorrect markings on the inner pot.
The incorrect volume markings can cause people to put too much food in the pot, resulting in an explosion of burning-hot food and liquid when they try to open the lid, or vent the pressure cooker using the quick-release method.
The class action was filed on January 5, 2024 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia — Case Number 4:24-cv-00007-WMR.
