Why Were FRESH SEASONS Chicken Caesar Wraps Flagged for Listeria?
In June 2026, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for certain Chicken Caesar Wraps after a sample tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. The wraps were made by Taher, Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota, and sold exclusively at Holiday convenience stores in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Is This a Recall?
No. All of the wraps are past their expiration-date, so they should not still be in stores. However, it is possible that these products may be in some consumers’ homes. It is also possible that people who ate a contaminated wrap could still get sick because Listeria has an incubation period up to 10 weeks.
The wraps are no longer available for purchased. Instead of a recall, the USDA issued a safety warning. warned that some product may still be in consumers’ refrigerators. “FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators.”
Which Chicken Caesar Wraps Are Affected?
The public health alert covers the following product:
- 8.7-oz. clear plastic wrapped packages of “FRESH SEASONS Kitchen Chicken Caesar Wrap”
- “Sell By:6/24/2026” printed on the back label above the ingredients
- Establishment number “P-45091” inside the USDA mark of inspection

What Is the Risk From Listeria in Chicken Wraps?
Food that is contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can make people sick with a serious infection that is called listeriosis. It is most dangerous for pregnant women, newborns, adults 65 and older, and people with weakened immune systems.
The symptoms can show up on the same day you eat contaminated food, or take up to 10 weeks to appear. This is why it is sometimes tricky to diagnose a Listeria infection. Also, people who got sick may not realize what actually caused their illness.
According to the CDC, the symptoms of listeriosis may include:
- Fever and muscle aches
- Headache, stiff neck, and confusion
- Loss of balance
- Diarrhea or other stomach symptoms
- And more
The infection is particularly dangerous for pregnant women, who may suffer only a mild flu-like illness or no symptoms at all. However, during pregnancy, Listeria infection can lead to a miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or a life-threatening infection in the newborn.
What Should I Do If I Bought One of These Wraps?
Consumers who bought these wraps should not eat them. The agency said the products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. For answers to your food safety questions, call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at (888) 674-6854. For full details about this health warning, review the FSIS public health alert.
