Five Below Recalls 29,000 LED Bear Lights for Fire & Burn Hazard

In April 2025, the discount retailer Five Below announced a recall for about 29,000 Room2Room LED Iridescent Bear Lights due to a fire hazard and burn injury risk.

What is the Problem?

The power switch on the USB cord can overheat and melt, posing fire and burn hazards. The bear-shaped lights measure about 7.5 inches tall by 9.3 inches wide and have a USB cord with an on/off power switch.

What Happened?

Five Below received 28 reports of the USB cord overheating and melting, including 6 reports of burns to fingers.

There were also 2 reports of property damage, including burns to a wall and a headboard.

How To Identify Recalled LED Bear Lights

Five Below recalled Room2Room LED Iridescent Bear Lights with the following information printed on a sticker on the bottom of the bear:

  • Room2Room
  • LED Iridescent Bear Light
  • Model number “LD-0030”
  • UPC code “1922340368444” is printed on the bottom of the packaging

Where Were They Sold?

The recalled LED Iridescent Bear Lights were sold at Five Below stores nationwide and online at fivebelow.com from September 2024 through February 2025 for about $12.

What Should I Do?

Five Below is urging customers to immediately stop using the recalled lights. You can return the lights to any Five Below store for a full refund, or contact Customer Service for information on how get a refund by submitting a photo of the light with the power cord cut.
