On May 28, 2021, California Terra Garden Inc. recalled all 150-gram packages of Guan’s Seafood Mushroom (Product of China) after a package tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes bacteria during routing testing by the California Health Department.
Guan’s Enoki Mushrooms Recalled Again for Listeria
In April 2021, Guan’s Mushroom Co. recalled all 200-g packages of Enoki Mushrooms from China after a package tested positive for Listeria contamination during routine testing by health officials in Michigan.

In March 2020, Guan’s Mushroom Co. recalled all 200-gram packages of Enoki Mushrooms (Product of Korea) after a package tested positive for Listeria during routine testing by health officials in California.
Enoki Mushrooms Linked to Deadly Outbreak of Listeria
Enoki mushrooms were linked to a deadly outbreak of Listeria that killed 4 people in 17 states. At least 36 people were infected, including 31 who were hospitalized due to a severe illness. Recalls were issued by H&C Food Inc., Guan’s Mushroom Co., and Sun Hong Foods. The illnesses were reported between November 2016 and December 2019.
