UPDATE: Igloo Cooler Class Action Lawsuit filed in California
In March 2025, a proposed class action lawsuit was filed against Igloo in California by a man who bought an Igloo 90-Quart Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler from a Costco store in California.
His cooler was recalled because the tow handle has pinch-points that pose serious finger injury hazards, including:
- Finger crushing injuries
- Amputations
- Cuts (lacerations)
- Broken bones
- Permanent disability
- Disfigurement
- And more
His lawsuit claims that the recall is “entirely inadequate” because it does not pay consumers refunds for the coolers, which cost $80 to $140, but simply offers a new replacement tow handle, which they must try to install themselves.
The lawsuit was filed against Igloo Products Corp. on March 5, 2025 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California – Case Number 2:25-cv-01917.
