160,000 Chairs and Barstools Recalled for Injury Hazards
In February 2026, Clark Associates issued a recall for about 158,486 Lancaster Table & Seating® Powder-Coated Aluminum Outdoor Restaurant Chairs and Barstools due to an injury hazard.
There were dozens of reports of broken or bent chair legs, including people who fell and suffered injuries. According to the recall:
“The problem is that the legs of the chairs and barstools can bend or break while the chair is in use, posing a fall hazard.”
How Many People Were Injured?
There were 36 reports of broken or bent chair legs, resulting in 4 fall and 3 injuries, according to the recall. Clark Associates is urging customers to immediately stop using the recalled chairs and barstools.
Where Were They Sold?
The recall involves Lancaster Table & Seating Powder-Coated Aluminum Outdoor Chairs and Barstools that were primarily sold to restaurants, cafes, and commercial foodservice facilities nationwide.
They were sold at Clark Pro and Clark National Accounts and online at webstaurantstore.com, therestaurantstore.com and quicksupply.com from April 2020 through October 2025 for between $55 and $133.
How To Identify Recalled Chairs
The recall involves 3 models of Lancaster Table & Seating® Powder-Coated Aluminum Outdoor Chairs and Barstools. The models include:
- Arm chair
- Side chair (no arms)
- Barstool
They were sold with and without accompanying tables. The tables are not affected by the recall. The chairs came in 12 colors, including blue, brown, dark gray, light gray/silver, red, white, aqua, black, green, sangria/burgundy, yellow and orange.
The recall involves products with about 180 different item numbers, which can be found on the order confirmation emails, shipping confirmation emails, and invoices.
