August 19, 2020 — Lithonia Lighting recalled over 318,500 metal brackets for CPANL LED ceiling lights because they can fall and cause injuries.
The recall was issued after 24 reports of the lights coming loose or falling off, including 1 person who was injured.
The recalled H-brackets are screwed into the ceiling and used for mounting CPANL LED ceiling light fixtures. They could be installed in homes, schools, hospitals, hotels, offices, and other facilities.
Lithonia sold the brackets along with 1×4, 2×4 and 2×2 CPANL lights, and also separately as individual accessories.
They were sold by Lowe’s, The Home Depot, other home improvement stores, and installed by commercial electrical companies, between August 2018 through June 2020.
