Matrix Training Cycles Recalled for Fall Hazard
In January 2025, more than 12,885 Matrix Training Cycles were recalled because the training cycles’ adjustable seat can unexpectedly lower while in use, which poses a fall hazard and a risk of serious injuries to the rider.
What is the Problem?
There were 63 reports of the seats unexpectedly lowering, including 2 reports that users fell off the cycle when the seat lowered, according to the manufacturer Johnson Health Tech North America (“JHTNA”).
How To Identify Recalled Exercise Bikes
The recall involves Matrix® stationary exercise bicycles that were sold by Matrix Fitness from January 2021 through October 2024 for between $2,530 and $7,305.
The recalled cycles have a serial number that contains a serial prefix of FC32, ZFC32B, FC33, FC36, FC29D or FC27. The model and serial numbers are located on a label on the lower rear area of the cycle frame.

Where Were They Sold?
The recalled exercise bikes were primarily used at gyms and commercial fitness facilities nationwide in the U.S. and also Canada, where Health Canada reported that 140 of the exercise bikes were sold. No injuries were reported in Canada.
What Should I Do?
