Morfboard Scooters Recalled for Fall Hazard

On October 21, 2020, Jakks Pacific recalled about 162,300 Morfboard® Skate & Scoot Combo toys with “Y” handlebars that can break off, which poses a fall and injury hazard to children.

What is the Problem?

The “Y” handlebar joint on the scooter can break. Jakks Pacific said it received 18 reports of the “Y” handlebars breaking, including a child who fell and suffered a bloody nose.

Where Were They Sold?

The recalled Morfboard scooters were sold nationwide at stores such as Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Meijer, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Amazon.com, and morfboard.com from February 2018 to August 2020 for about $100.

What Should I Do?

Jakks Pacific is asking consumers to take the scooters away from children and contact the company for a free replacement “T” handlebar.

Was My Child’s Morfboard Recalled?

Morfboard Skate & Scoot Combo scooters have interchangeable parts that convert into a scooter or a skateboard. The scooter is created by inserting the “Y” handlebar into the base board.
