The Pariplus Grill Cart Warning

On March 26, 2026, the CPSC issued a product safety warning urging consumers to immediately stop using Pariplus Foldable Grill Carts with Wheels, Models NWGS2501 and GSPA-2501A, due to the risk of fingertip amputation and crushing injuries when the products fold or collapse.

This is a CPSC product safety warning — not a formal recall — because the manufacturer, Maiduo of China, refused to recall the products. That means there is no remedy available from the company. The CPSC is directing consumers to dispose of the carts immediately and not to sell or give them away.

Which Products Are Affected?

The warning covers 2 models of Pariplus Foldable Grill Carts with Wheels:

  • Model NWGS2501
  • Model GSPA-2501A

The carts are made of steel and feature a tabletop surface or opening for tabletop grills, wheels on one side of the base, a side shelf, a paper towel holder, and hooks for grilling accessories. Both models were sold on Amazon.com and eBay.

What Injuries Have Been Reported?

The CPSC is aware of at least 21 incidents associated with these products. According to the official warning, consumers’ fingers have been caught in pinch point areas, including the sliding track for the legs of the product, when the product folds or collapses. The reported injuries include:

  • A fingertip amputation
  • A fractured finger
  • 5 lacerations requiring stitches

Because the manufacturer refused to recall the product, injuries may continue to be reported as consumers remain unaware of the hazard.

Why Is the Grill Cart Dangerous?

The folding design that makes these carts easy to store and transport is also what makes them dangerous. When the cart folds or collapses during use, the sliding track for the legs creates pinch points where fingers can become trapped. The mechanism can close quickly and with significant force, leaving little or no time to react. The result can be crushing injuries or, in at least one reported case, a fingertip amputation.

The Manufacturer Refused to Recall

Maiduo, the Chinese company that sells these carts on Amazon and eBay, has refused to issue a recall despite the CPSC’s warning. This is significant from a legal standpoint. When a manufacturer continues to allow a known dangerous product to remain in circulation rather than pulling it from sale, that refusal may be relevant to product liability claims.

Amazon has hosted sales of these products. Retailers that participate in the distribution of a defective product may share responsibility for injuries, even when the manufacturer is based overseas.
