UPDATE: ReBoost Nasal Spray Recalled for Infection Risk

On December 16, 2025, MediNatura of Albuquerque, New Mexico, expanded a recall to include every single bottle of ReBoost Nasal Spray and also ClearLife Allergy Nasal Spray due to a risk of infections with mold and bacteria, which could become life-threatening or even deadly.

Original Recall

The original recall was announced on December 10, 2025, but only included one lot of ReBoost Nasal Spray (Lot Number 22426). The expanded recall includes ALL lots and expiration dates of ReBoost Nasal Spray.

What Happened?

MediNatura recalled ReBoost Nasal Spray after “the product was found to contain yeast/mold and microbial contamination, with one species identified as Achromobacter, at levels above specification.”

No infections were reported, but it is possible that people who use this contaminated nasal spray could develop a life-threatening infection. According to the risk statement provided by MediNatura:

“There is a reasonable probability that adverse health consequences including life-threatening infections will occur with use of the product in the immuno-compromised population. To date, MediNatura has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

How To Identify ReBoost Nasal Spray

ReBoost Nasal Spray is a homeopathic nasal spray product that is advertised to temporarily relieve nasal congestion, sinus headache and pressure, postnasal drip, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching.

ReBoost Nasal Spray is packaged in a 20mL bottle which is further packaged in a white and yellow carton. The carton is marked with NDC Number 62795-4005-9 and UPC# 787647 10186 3.

The recall includes all lots and expiration dates, which includes dates between 12/2022 and 12/2025.

What is Achromobacter?

Achromobacter is a type of bacteria that is found widely in the environment, such as soil and water. It is not usually a problem for healthy adults, but it can be opportunistic and cause severe infections, especially in people with vulnerable immune systems, or pre-existing lung diseases, such as Cystic Fibrosis.

Infections Can Be Antibiotic-Resistant

Achromobacter species are naturally antibiotic-resistant, which can make it more difficult for doctors to treat infections. They are resistant to several antibiotics, including most cephalosporins, aztreonam, and aminoglycosides), and are increasingly acquiring resistance to carbapenems.

What Should I Do?

MediNatura is urging customers to stop using ReBoost Nasal Spray and ClearLife Allergy Nasal Spray. If you developed symptoms of an infection, or other health problems that may be related to using this product, contact your physician or healthcare provider immediately.
