September 9, 2020 — Royal Gourmet has recalled Patio 2-Burner Gas Grills that were sold exclusively on Wayfair.com because they can catch on fire.
The problem is that the grill’s plastic regulator hose can melt and catch on fire. The defective hose poses a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries.
The recall involves about 1,100 Patio 2-Burner Propane Gas Grills with Side Shelves. They were sold exclusively online at Wayfair.com from August 2017 through November 2019 for about $240.
No injuries were reported, but Royal Gourmet has received 6 reports of grills catching on fire.
The model numbers of the recalled grills are GG2004 (red color), GG2005 (black color), and GG2006 (silver color) with date codes EBA20170525D-1, EBA20170525D-2, and EBA20170525D-3. The model numbers can be found on the rear base of the gas grills.
