November 13, 2020 — Sunjoy Industries Co. recalled about 10,900 Oakmont LP fire pit tables that were sold at Big Lots due to a fire hazard.
The problem is that an “incorrectly installed burner kit hose can melt and ignite,” which poses a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries.
At least one consumers was burned on their hand. Sunjoy also said it has received 17 reports of incorrectly-installed hoses, including 12 fire pit tables that ignited. There were 4 reports of property damage.
They were sold exclusively at Big Lots stores nationwide and online from January 2020 through June 2020 for about $480.
