July 9, 2024 — Trader Joe’s has recalled thousands of Mango Tangerine Scented Candles due to a safety hazard.
The recall involves the Trader Joe’s Mango Tangerine Scented Candle, which was sold seasonally at Trader Joe’s stores nationwide.
The candle “may have an unexpected burn pattern. The candle flame can spread from the wick to the wax causing a larger than expected flame, posing a safety risk.”
The hand-poured candle was made with a natural coconut-soy wax blend. It was sold in a 5.7-ounce (162g) tin with SKU# 56879.
Trader Joe’s is urging customers who bought the Mango Tangerine Scented Candle to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
