February 17, 2025 — Umarex recalled about 26,500 T4E (Training for Engagement) TR50 Air Pistols because the CO2 cartridge can eject out of the handle and cause injuries.
Umarex warned that the “CO2 cartridge can be unintentionally ejected with force from the handle, posing an impact hazard.”
There were 30 reports of the CO2 cartridge unintentionally ejecting with force, including 7 reports of injuries such as fractured hands, broken fingers, and contusions (bruises).
The recall involves the T4E (Training for Engagement) TR50 Air Pistol, which is a black CO2-powered airgun that holds six .50 caliber rounds.
You can identify the recalled airguns with the “T4E” logo and “TR50” engraved on the left-hand side of the muzzle.
The model numbers affected by this recall are 2292112, 2280182 and 2280199 with the following serial numbers: 22D226941 – 23C087042.
They were sold at Big 5 stores in the Western U.S., Modern Combat Sports in Vista, California, and online from May 2022 to July 2023.
