Aroeve Air Purifiers Recalled for Fire Hazard
In February 2026, the California-based company Airova Inc. announced a recall for nearly 200,000 Aroeve® Air Purifiers that can overheat or catch on fire. According to the recall:
“The air purifiers can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.”
What Happened?
The recalled Aroeve Air Purifiers were recalled after 37 reports of overheating, including 1 fire that did not cause property damage. No injuries were reported.
How To Identify Recalled Air Purifiers
The recall involves Aroeve Air Purifiers with Model MK04. The model number can be found on a product label on the bottom of the unit.
The label also has the date code and serial number. The recall only includes air purifiers that were manufactured prior to July 2025.
The recall also only includes certain units with serial numbers beginning with “BN,” but not all units with “BN” serial numbers are affected by the recall.

Where Were They Sold?
The recall involves about 191,390 Aroeve® Air Purifiers that were sold from September 2024 through June 2025 on Amazon.com, Shopify.com, TEMU.com, and TikTok.com.
Can I Get a Refund?
No. Instead of a refund, Airova is urging customers to immediately stop using the recalled air purifiers and register for a free replacement.
