Belkin Power Banks & Charging Stands Recalled for Fire Hazard
In November 2025, Belkin International Inc., a company based in Segundo, California, announced a recall for more than 83,500 portable power banks and wireless charging stands that can potentially catch on fire.
What is the Problem?
The recalled power banks and charging stands contain a lithium-ion battery that can overheat and catch on fire or explode. This poses a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries, according to the manufacturer.
How Many People Were Injured?
Belkin said it received 1 report of a fire that occurred in the U.S., plus another 15 reports of fires internationally. Outside of the U.S., there were 2 reports of minor burn injuries and $37,765 in property damage.
The recall also includes about 2,385 units that were sold in Canada. No incidents were reported by Health Canada for either the Belkin Boost Charge Power Bank or the Belkin Auto-Tracking Pro Stand as of November 12, 2025.
Where Were They Sold?
Belkin power banks and charging stands were sold nationwide in the U.S. between August 2020 and August 2025 at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Belkin.com, Amazon.com, TikTok, other stores and online.
